2011-03 RELEASE - Master
10632: Finance Charges Automatically Applied to Trans Class 777
Finance Charge Transactions are now automatically applied a Transaction Classification of 777. This only applies to clients that use Transactions to apply finance charges.
11029: Billing Email Address on Billing Email
For email billing, the email address used will now be filled using the realtime Customer Billing Address vs. the one taken at the time of the billing data snapshot. This applies to new billing system clients only.
11057: New Sort Order Option Added for Comments
A new field called Display Order has been added to the Comments screen. This is a drop-down list and contains two values:
1) "Always on Top" - causes the comment to be displayed at the top of ALL comment lists on the account, including Customers, Orders, Trouble Tickets, and Products.
2) "Normal" - causes the comment to be displayed in the "normal" sort order of newest Activity Date, then newest Entered Date.
The purpose of this feature is to allow users to store important customer information without the need for customized fields. Some clients will use this to ensure that Network, Carrier, and/or Provisioning related information is always visible when working on an account.
12248: Allow Payments Option Added to Transaction Classification Admin Screen
An Allow Payments checkbox has been added to the Transaction Classification Admin Tool.
If this box is checked for a Transaction Classification, TBS will allow CC and ACH payments on the Payment Options tab and recurring payments on an account when there is a transaction for that account pending on the Transaction Posting page with that Transaction Classification. Otherwise, payments will be blocked.
12614: Updates to the Line Inventory Screen
Updated the Number Inventory Page as follows:
1. Clicking Enter will now execute the search rather than returning the user to the Main Screen.
2. The Status Filter Dropdown list defaults to "Stock" if that status exists. Otherwise, it defaults to "-All-" as it did previously.
12617: Error with Disconnect Reason Filling Disconnect Date on Local
BUG: Selecting a Disconnect Reason on the Local screen overrode an existing Disconnect Date. This no longer occurs.
13322: Carrier Router Cost Field Added to Dedicated Screen
A Carrier Router Cost field has been added to the Dedicated screen.
14299: Billing Emails Filled from Base Information
Billing emails now have the ability to utilize Base information as placeholders within the Email billing template. For instance, items such as Company Name, Customer Service phone number, CS email, etc. can now be pulled dynamically when generating the ebill message. This will prevent clients from having multiple ebill templates if all other wording is the same. Note: expansion of these fields applies to new billing system clients only.
15593: Filtering Added to Payments Log Flex Report
Users now have the ability to filter the Payments Log Flex Report by Entered By and Recurring Batch Id.
16453: Flex Reports - Grid Sorting Added
Sorting has been incorporated into Flex Reports and the Transactions report.
16982: User ID on T4Users Admin Tool Expanded
The User ID field on the T4Users Admin Tool has been increased to 20 characters.
17706: Zip Code Errors
BUG: Entering a Zip Code and hitting Tab when adding a new Physical Location on a Trouble Ticket or when adding a new Location Code on an Order produced a JavaScript error. This has been fixed.
17810: Network ID Updates
A new Network Information table has been added to track Network IDs (Brand IDs) assigned to clients.
On the Customer Screen, the Network ID information has been changed to a link which opens a Network Information management screen.
On the Local screen, a Network ID drop down list has been added which allows a user to associate a Network ID with a local line.
This Network Information is viewable only if the DisplayNetworkID appsetting is set to 1.
In the future, the Network Information table will be expanded to include information needed for Mix to provision to the VoIP switch. For example, we might add Gateway and IP addressing information required by the switch.
17873: Line Type on All Product Screens
The following changes have been made to Product screens with regard to the Line Type.
The primary change was to ensure that Line Type is selectable on all Product screens. See the details below:
1. Local / Dedicated Local Pages - there are no changes. Local will tax the same as always regardless if it is Local or Dedicated Local.
2. Long Distance Products - The Line Type field is filled from the lkServiceTypes system table and will affect taxing. This table has a field "ServiceCode" that is used by the billing engine. If ServiceCode = 'V', then the billing engine will treat the line as VoIP. Otherwise, it is Non-Voip.
- LD / DLD Products - Uses lkServiceTypes records where ProductType = 'LD'. No changes needed.
- 8xx / D8xx Products - Uses lkServiceTypes records where ProductType = '8xx'. VoIP records can be added as needed (ensure that ServiceCode = 'V').
- Conference Calling Products - Uses lkServiceTypes records where ProductType = 'CC'. Currently no records are defined, but they can be added if needed.
Note in all cases, if no records are found for the product type in lkServiceTypes, the Line Type drop-down list is hidden.
17888: Quantity Changes on USOC Details and Local Screens
The method TBS uses to handle Quantity on USOCs has been changed.
Previously, setting the Quantity updated the Override (Quantity * Rate) and Override Description.
Now, setting the Quantity does NOT update these fields. Instead, the billing engine will use Quantity to calculate the charge.
IMPORTANT: The billing engine will multiply Quantity by the Override Amount if it is filled. Otherwise, it calculates Quantity times the Rate defined on the master USOC record.
Both the Local Screen and the USOC Details Screen have been updated to reflect these changes.
18028: Change to the Wireless Voice Plans Admin Screen
The International Rate Code on the Wireless Voice Plans Admin Screen is now a drop-down list.
18060: ProjectCodes Added to the Voice Services Grid
A Project Codes column (Y or N), labeled "Codes", was added to the Voice Services Grid.
18160: Changing Contract Date Now Updates the Term End Date
BUG: The Term End Date was not being updated based on the Contract Date and the Term Length when the Contract Date was updated. This has been fixed.
18171: Flex Reports - Show SQL Option Added
Flex Reports now have a "Show Executed SQL" option. If this option is checked, the SQL used to run the report is displayed along with the results. This checkbox is viewable by SuperUsers only.
18181: Billing Info Tab – Updates to the PTT Invoices V2 Grid
Wireless, VoIP, Bundled, Dedicated and Fixed Charges columns, if applicable, will now appear in the PTT Invoices v2 grid (new billing system only) on the Billing Info tab. The Total Usage and Total Charges columns have been removed.
The sum of the charges to the left of Balance Forward = Total Current
Total Current + Balance Forward = Total Due
18204: Updates to the Dedicated Screen
Legacy Billing System: A drop-down list for Dedicated Plans has been added to the Dedicated screen. A new Admin Tool for managing these plans is accessible from the Dedicated screen by clicking on the Monthly Charge link.
New Billing System: A second monthly charge, Monthly Charge 2, has been added to the Dedicated screen to enable the monthly charges to be split between port and loop.
18210: Transaction Amount Limited to Two Decimal Places on Transaction Posting Page
The Transaction Amount field on the Transaction Posting page is now limited to two decimal places.
18369: Admin Screen Formatting Changes

18384: Flex Reports: Like Comparison Update
When a Flex Report parameter contains “Like”, the parameter can now accept an entry either with or without wildcards (%). For example, both 201006 and 201006% are acceptable for Billing Cycle Like.
18394: Customer Level Finance Charges Enabled
TBS has been updated to support Customer Level Finance Charge Settings.
The following values can be set on the customer's Bill Setup tab:
1. Start Finance Charge - This field previously existed. It defines the number of days late, after which, to start applying the finance charge
2. Finance Charge Calc Type - This drop-down list allows users to select one of the following calculation types:
- Percent with Minimum (default value)
- Percent Only
- Minimum Only
3. Finance Charge Percentage - This field stores finance charge percentage as a whole number (0% to 100%). Note: This could be used instead of the Waive Finance Charge field on Custom Fields.
4. Finance Charge Minimum – This field stores the minimum finance charge.
If any of these are blank / null, the system will fall back to the system default values as stored in T4AppSettings.
The system level settings are:
- CompanyFinanceCharge - If not in T4AppSettings, defaults to 0.015 (1.5%)
- MinimumFinanceCharge - (new setting) If not in T4AppSettings, defaults to 0.00. If a finance charge is calculated for an account, but is under this minimum, the system will raise the finance charge to the minimum.
- MinimumLateAmount - (new setting). If not in T4AppSetting, defaults to 0.00. Finance Charges will only be applied if the customer’s late amount is greater than this minimum.

An “Acknowledge Result” button has been added to the Recurring Payments page. This can be used to acknowledge the completion of payment processes that may take a long period of time, or have been ran by a different user.
Once the button is clicked to acknowledge the results of a process, the system will flag the results as “acknowledged”. However the results will remain on the screen until the page is refreshed or the page is re-visited again.
18455: Admin Menu Not Displaying Properly
BUG: IE7 users were experiencing an issue which caused the menu options on the new Administration screen to display at the very bottom of the screen. This has been fixed.
18498: Option to Save Transactions to TBS History Database
A new T4AppSetting called "PP_SaveTmpTransactionsToHistory" determines whether temporary transactions will be entered into the TBS History database. These metrics are not viewable in TBS, however they can be reported on if needed.

If this option is set up on a report, an 'Order By' drop-down list appears on the screen along with a Sort Order drop-down list (Ascending/Descending).

19191: Bug Fix: Disconnect Date Not Set When Customer Disconnected
BUG: The Disconnect Date was not being set, in some instances, on LD lines when a customer was disconnected, because only the Provisioning Action, not the Status, was being changed to Disconnected. Now the Disconnect Date is being set when the Provisioning Action is set to Disconnected or the Status is set to Disconnected.
NOTE: This only applies if Statuses have been set up to disconnect the LD line if the customer is disconnected.
19247: New Admin Screen for Dedicated Plans
An Admin tool was added to the Administration Menu (New) menu to manage Dedicated Plans.
