2013-08 Victory Release Notes
Overview
The Victory release was a combination of a large network platform update for Precision hosted clients combined with some higher priority bug fixes. It also includes implementing Single Sign On for the CABs system (i.e., one login to either system will allow access to both). The new network platform updates should provide improved performance for hosted clients as well as create the framework for additional billing automation and scheduled processes.
The release notes below provide an overview of all changes.
CABS System Updates
29221: CABS SSO Support
The CABS system now uses the same single-sign-on (SSO) service as
TBS.
Users will need to have Admin rights to the CABS module in order to
use CABS. Logging in/out of TBS will log users in/out of CABS as
well.
At release time, PTT will assign users the CABS Admin permission if
they have a corresponding user in the CABS system.
General TBS Enhancements
27735: Post Billing Account Update - Performance Enhancements
As part of the normal billing process, the TBS billing system will update accounts with last call dates, last billing dates, etc. This is an intense process since it has the ability to hit almost every product in the system. Reports were received that this impacted TBS system performance when the process was triggered during business hours.
This process was reworked to handle the updates in a more efficient manner. In addition this process can now be scheduled to run after hours to prevent future performance problems.
29092: Invoice CDR Viewer V2 - New message when no usage exists
When pulling up the Invoice Viewer V2 CDRs tab for a product that had no current
activity, the error message was unclear: "The required product
(<ProductID>) could not be found."
This message has been clarified
to indicate that there is no current activity for that product.
29208: Support for Cloud based document storage and URL retrieval
When TBS emails Scheduled Reports attachments are currently attached to the email. A new configuration has been added that will allow the reports to be generated and then stored in a cloud based environment. That same report can then still be attached to the email or a link can be inserted into the email for retrieval. The latter will reduce the amount of broadband used when sending large reports via email.
This is a new feature only being used for scheduled reports at the moment, but will be a stepping stone toward adding this functionality into email billing process as well. This will greatly reduce the bandwidth used when sending invoices via email.
29019: Care Codes
Within the Care Code Admin tool, the Care Code has been added to the initial grid to help maintain Codes more easily.
29309: All Lines Search - Now returns results for Wireless MDN, ESN and MIN fields
The Customer, All Lines search is used to find an account using any "Product
ID" in TBS. In most cases, each type of product has only 1 product
ID. For example:
- ANI is the Product ID on Long distance
- WTN is
the Product ID on Local
To help users find accounts more easily,
the multiple fields are searched on following products:
- Dedicated looks at
ACircuitID and LECBillingID
- Local looks at WTN and CircuitID
- Wireless
now looks at MDN, ESN, and MIN fields
28938: 10 Decimal Rating for Wireless & MB support for Wireless Data Plans
TBS now supports 10 decimal rate precision for wireless.
Additionally, the system has also converted wireless billing rates from Kilobytes to Megabytes for data plans. At release time, PTT will convert current KB rates to MB rates. IMPORTANT:Please check to ensure that any rates you had previously entered are accurate as there may be some rounding that occurred during the conversion process.
Bug Fixes
29217: Bug Fix: Trouble Ticket Physical Location not refreshing
On Trouble Tickets, when adding or updating a Physical Location, the system will now refresh the Physical Location drop down list.
28695: Bug Fix: Delete Queued ACH Payment
Fixed a bug which prevented users from Deleting Queued ACH Payments.
29105: Bug Fix: Orders Tree not taking filtering out deleted lkStatuses records
Fixed an Orders tree bug where orders assigned to a deleted Status were included in the tree.
29007: Carrier Admin Tool - Carrier Code is required and must be unique
Having multiple carriers with identical carrier codes caused the system to
exhibit some errors.
The system now prevents this type of data from being
entered.
28960: Bug Fix: ACH/CC Transactions are showing the user that Posted the transaction instead of the original user
A Transaction Saving bug was introduced in the last release. This bug
caused the User ID on the Transaction to be set to the User that posted the
transaction instead of the user that processed the ACH / Credit Card
payment.
This bug has been fixed. In addition, the
Transaction records will be updated from the Payments Log to show the correct
User ID.
28963: Bug Fix: Usoc Detail page not considering MustAdd / MustEdit from Orders settings
IMPORTANT: On the Local screen, previously the "Add USOC" button and the ability to edit existing USOCs was not locked down regardless of whether the system was setup to "Must Add from Orders" or "Must Edit from Orders".
This has been fixed.
29377: Bug Fix: Local Screen, Add LD Option always displayed regardless of Must Add from Orders
Fixed bug on Local where users could Add LD regardless of the Must Add from Orders from Orders application setting.
29273: Bug Fix: Traditional Wireless Voice Plan Maintenance - rounding CPM
Fixed a bug on the Wireless Voice Plan Administration screen that prevented the CPM, RoamCPM, and RoamLD rates from displaying 4 decimal places.
29280: Bug Fix: System Users with a UserType of Agent cannot login
Fixed a bug where System Users tagged with the UserType of Agent could not log into TBS. Note: This did not prevent actual Agents from accessing TBS.
29265: Bug Fix: Internet Screen issues when many plans assigned
Internet products with more than 80-90 Internet Plan records on it were
displaying the message: "The URL-encoded form data is not valid."
This
issue was caused by a Microsoft web server patch and can be fixed by changing a
web application setting, which is performed with this release.
