2014-11 Iron Man Release Notes
Overview
General TBS - Enhancements & Bug Fixes
20901 - Grid Filter: User Control development
TBS supports a variety of Data / Grid Filtering. The two main grid styles utilize either column filters or and advanced filter builder tool. Information on how to use these tools are outlined below. The newer method of filtering grid records (using the advanced builder) is powerful, but can be confusing. We are working to improve the appearance of the filter, adding:
- a collapsible panel whose heading shows the filter in "plain English"
- some quick tips to add a simple filter along with a diagram
- a link to more in-depth documentation on using the filter
These changes have been made on about 20 administration screens, including status/workflow actions, email templates, and traditional product USOCs. See an example below.
Example: Filter Status Action grid to only show Customers Status Group.
Step 1: When no filter is applied, the filter bar across the top of the grid will indicate this and instruct the user to Click in order to enable filtering options.
Step 2: Once the filter tools are available, Instructions will appear showing the user how to apply their filter. Users should click the Add Expression button to get started.
Step 3: Select the grid column to filter by.
Step 4: Select the filter type comparison (i.e., Equal to, Not Equal to, etc.)
Step 5: Type the filter criteria in the text box
Step 6: Click the Apply Filter button in the top of the main grid
Add additional filters using the "AND" and "OR" options and repeating steps 1-5. Examples:
"AND" Filter - will show Customers Status Group AND only those with a Status of New.
"OR" Filter - will show Customer Status Group OR Order Status Group
Saved Filters: Filters will be saved in session so that when a user returns to the screen, the same filter will be enabled.
Use the Clear Filter button to remove the filter if desired.
21972 - Wireless 4G Data Rates Development
Additional fields to support 4G data rates have been added to Wireless Data and Wireless MMS rate plans. Fields will be backfilled using the EVDO rate on the plan.
Viewing a wireless product with a Data or MMS rate plan attached now shows all three rates (EVDO, 1X, and 4G) instead of just the EVDO rate.
Data Plans:
MMS Plans:
21960 - Option to download ALL Invoice Review PDFs Development
A button has been added to the Invoice Review page that provides downloading all invoices in Invoice Review at once in a single zip file.
22803 - Add additional Metric date tracking information
Two additional fields have been added to the Metrics view and metric status change grids: "Calendar days with this status" (db field name: CalendarDaysWithValue) and "Business days with this status" (db field name: BusinessDaysWithValue.)
These fields can be used to know how many days an Order, for example, was in a particular status. This information can be useful in analyzing process workflow.
To prevent confusion within TBS, the previous fields Calendar Days and Business Days have been removed from metric status change grids. These fields represented the number of days since the previous status change. The fields were removed from the grid still exist in the T4Metrics view, however.
18367 - DID Rate Plan: International plan logic
An unused field (InternationalRateCode on DID Rate Plans) has been removed.
19736 - Order Grid updates: Add Contact Name & Display full name in Assigned To column
Within the Orders grid, the Contact Name field is now being shown to all users.
Also, for those users that can view the Assigned To column, the data is being changed to show the full Username vs. just the UserID (e.g. tstark is now Tony Stark).
21613 - Bug: CP: Automatic Payments Screen Shows Hidden Cards Development
TBS supports the ability for a Client to utilize a flag called 'HideFromEndUser' on both Credit Cards and Bank Accounts that, when applied, will prevent such cards/accounts from appearing to the Customer as well as hide these cards/accounts from the Automatic Payments tab and the Pay Bill tab.
A bug was found where these hidden cards were still visible on the Automatic Payments screen. This issue has been resolved. Hidden cards will no longer show anywhere on the Customer Portal and will also not be displayed on the Automatic Payments or Pay Bill tabs for internal users. Internal users will still have access to the cards/accounts via the Credit Cards or Bank Accounts tab.
21624 - Bug: Activity Queue Error on Home Page Development
TBS uses a Metric Action tool to trigger and send notification emails to an Activity Queue that then sends the email notification to an email queue and out to the SMTP server. A bug was found that caused the metric action emails to fail and remain in the activity queue. Clients who had this issue would have seen a notification similar to the following on the Home/Dashboard screen. This has been fixed.
Traditional Products - Enhancements & Bug Fixes
19943 - Move Account Code Tab under Products Development
Account Codes have always been treated like products in regards to their security permissions and tie to Orders for adding and editing data. Additionally, the Products tab count also considered Account Codes even though they were not under the Products tab initially. After further review and in an effort to make these more consistent with other products, Account Codes have been moved from underneath the customer Account Settings tab to underneath the Products tab. No other changes to Accounts Codes have been made.
18108 - Bug: Traditional Dedicated Move Tool needs to consider child products
When moving a Traditional Dedicated Circuit, the Local / LongDistance Lines under that circuit were not being moved to the new account. This bug has been corrected.
