2014-05 Copperhead Release Notes
Overview
The Copperhead release is continuing the phased approach of turning up a new optional customer portal for clients. Additionally, there were some enhancements added to Integration Product locations as well as some bug fixes for all clients.
While there may not appear to be many changes in this release, a lot is going on to make way for the new portal. Initial phases of the front-end are being previewed by select clients but are still not being made an available option for all clients as of yet. Stay tuned though!
General TBS - Enhancements & Bug Fixes
11421 - Notes added on Credit Invoice
The Credit Invoice Tab on the invoice viewer has been updated to allow users to override the default description assigned to a Credit Transaction. Prior to this change, when users did a "Full Invoice Credit" or "Partial Invoice Credit", the description assigned to the Credit Transaction was automatically generated by using the Invoice Transaction Description and adding the word "Credit". For example, "2014-03-01 Billing Credit".
The system generated transaction description is now displayed on the screen and users are able to edit it before processing the credit.

13060 - Information Icon Development
The controls on updated TBS screens have informational icons that have been updated to be more visually appealing.
- The Required and Information icons are now right aligned.
- The Information icon is also at 50% transparency.
- Other icons (link, choose, calendar) remain left aligned.
13090 - Legacy Reports turned off for all Users
Over the past 12 months, the Legacy Reports under the main Reports menu (excluding the "Letters option) have been phased out as most of the information available within these reports has now been migrated to Flex Reports. After reviewing the activity levels from clients to access these legacy reports, it was determined that these are rarely used and any requests for updates and changes to these reports has been implemented into a Flex alternative. Going forward, these report options will no longer be available unless a request is made to the Precision Account Manager.
Note: This only applies to the Trouble Ticket and Order legacy reports. The "Letters" option will still be available under the Reports menu for those clients that have this module enabled.
12717 - Bug: BCP Spreadsheet Data Misaligned
The Billing Control Panel -> Billing Spreadsheet header and value columns were not properly aligned. This has been corrected. Now the header and numeric value columns are right aligned.
This was simply a formatting issue. The data values were correctly reported.
11857 - Bug: Carrier Admin Screen Missing Field
A missing field "CDR Carrier Type" has been added to the Carrier Administration Screen. This admin screen can be found under the Provisioning -> Carriers Administration Menu.
This field is used by the "CloseByCDR" process to set the Carrier Field on Long Distance products. The valid values for this field are pulled from the Billing Engine.
13054 - Bug: Error setting remind user on Comments
On Comments, when a Reminder Date is set, the system should default the Remind User to the current user unless it is set manually. A bug that prevented this from working properly has been corrected.
12755 - Bug: New Flex Menu not considering System Use Only Flag
This bug fix corrects a small error that allowed system use only flex reports to be presented in the Flex report menu. They will now no longer be added to the menu.
This will help to organize and present pertinent reports in the flex report menu.
11411 - Bug Fix: Site Branding by Base not working properly
Base records have a new field, 'Default Base Override URL Regular Expression' that allows for different site branding (particularly the login screen) when TBS is accessed from distinct URLs.
For example, consider having two URLs pointed to the same TBS system:
- https://www.PrecisionTele.com/TBS and
- https://www.SomeNewPrecisionBase.com/TBS
A regular expression on the SomeNewPrecisionBase base record can be set so that the https://www.SomeNewPrecisionBase.com/TBS login screen shows the SomeNewPrecisionBase logo while the https://www.PrecisionTele.com/TBS login screen shows the default base logo.
Integrated Products - Enhancements & Bug Fixes
10081 - Add Dedicated Field Development
This adds WAN Block and Customer LAN to the Dedicated Aux Info screen for Integrated product customers. They have also been added to the product search.
10105 - Increase Location Visibility Development
The Integrated Product page has been updated to provide more detail about the Location / Physical Location associated with the current product.
The updated location information includes:
- The full address is displayed
- The drop down list allows users to find / select the desired location by Location Code, Name, Address and/or City. Users can select from an item or type part of the address to filter the available options.
- The Link Icon
will navigate the user to the currently selected Location record. This link is only available when not in Edit mode and when an address is selected.
10093 - Display Recurring Charges & Plans on the Product Page
The Integrated Product Info page now features a small grid to show the recurring details attached to a selected product. The grid will show only Recurring, active charges and plans.
13070 - Show Activity Queue Service Status Development
The Activity Queue is used to process request to outside systems (Network Resources). At times, the Activity Queue would stop and TBS users had no way to check the status and/or restart the service.
This problem has been addressed. When users view the Activity Queue via the Administration Menu (Activities->Activity Queue), the page now checks and displays the Activity Queue state. If the Activity Queue is stopped for some reason, the page will automatically attempt to re-start the service.
