Purpose |
TBS supports a wide variety of products from Traditional voice products like POTs, Voice, Cable and Internet to Integrated Next Generation products like Wireless and VoIP. Depending upon the client's TBS setup, product management may take on a "grouped" approach like within the Integrated product section or they may be managed individually as in the Traditional products setup. NOTE: New products can be added or edited from the Products tab and/or within the Orders module. Depending upon client setup, the ability to add may be disabled on the Products tab and may need to be managed through the Orders module. |

Traditional / Independent Products
This product setup method will allow each of the products listed below to be managed individually. Each product has its own corresponding product tab with independent views and maintenance tools according to that product. New product types would need to be arranged with Precision in order to turn on a product tab that was currently disabled. Supported products include:
- Voice Services (Local, USOCs, 1+, International, Inbound)
- Tollfree
- Conference Calling
- Calling Card
- Cable
- Internet
- Dedicated
- Voicemail (informational only)
- Wireless
- Fixed Charges (one time credits, NRCs, generic MRCs)
- Miscellaneous / Automatic Charges (i.e., paper bill fees)
- Account Codes
This product setup method provides a flexible interface that can support products that may or may not have a usage component and may or may not have a charges component. Products can be placed into parent-child type relationships as well as be integrated with external Network Resource interfaces for services such as Provisioning, E911 Registration, etc.
Products take on "Product Types" that map to an underlying Product Class within the billing system. Greater flexibility is supported by being able to label products according to the client's needs and customize the product groupings according to their business. Currently supported product classes include:
- VoIP Outbound (Local, LD, 8xx, International)
- VoIP Inbound
- Other VoIP Products (Domains, Extensions, etc.)
- Traditional Voice Outbound (Local, LD, 8xx, International)
- Dedicated (Circuits, MPLS, Private line, etc.)
- Internet (T1, DSL, etc.)
- Cable Services (no usage component)
- Voicemail Services (no usage component)
- Wireless Services
- EFax
- Account Charges (MRC, NRC, One-off charges, recurring equipment, account maintenance fees, etc.)
- Additional products will be added in the future
